Babcock Lifeskills, which is part of the Babcock 4S education support service business is a provider of a range of printed and digital careers resources to schools, parents/carers and other customers. These services include: Pathfinder, the ‘Working in’ series, Skillcheck, Odyssey, Jobfile and other publications.
We regularly monitor customer demand for our goods and services and, as a consequence of changes in our market, we have seen some reduction in demand for some of our products. As a result we will not be producing new editions of the Choices publications (It’s your choice & Which way now?), the Working in series or Jobfile. The existing range of titles within the Working in series will be available while stocks last, and we are working with Prospects Education Resources (Email: resources@prospects.co.uk or telephone : 01229 814840), our main agents to ensure continuing supply of existing stocks to the market.
We will continue to provide our online products Pathfinder, SkillCheck, Odyssey, CareersEtc and the interactive editions of the Choices publications. Please be assured that our support for these products will continue as we assess future demand.
Our highly valued, Matrix accredited careers advice and guidance to schools and other organisations through our consultancy business will continue, and be unaffected by these changes. Please note that this decision only applies to our printed and digital products and no other service provided by Babcock are impacted by this business decision.
